Sienna Miller Testifies at Leveson Inquiry

Ready to be heard in regards to the highly-publicized phone hacking scandal in the UK, Sienna Miller was among those at The Royal Courts of Justice in London on Thursday (November 24).

There to give evidence at the Leveson Inquiry, the “Layer Cake” actress spoke to a panel headed by Lord Justice Leveson – who is looking into the culture, practice and ethics of the press in the United Kingdom.

In her statements, Miss Miller said, “It was impossible to lead any kind of normal life,” adding that she felt “violated, and paranoid and anxious constantly.”

Of the aggressive tactics by paparazzi hired by tabloids such as the now-defunct News Of the World, Sienna said, “I would often find myself – I was 21 – at midnight running down a dark street on my own with 10 big men chasing me. And the fact that they had cameras in their hand meant that that was legal, but if you take away the cameras, what have you got?”
